Beautiful Simplicity | Melissa Blythe Fine Art Film Wedding Photographer

October 31, 2017

Sometimes as an artist you just have to get together with your muse and create something with out expectations. That is what happened here. Lately I’ve found myself very drawn to simplicity and clean backgrounds. I often work with a plethora of details on wedding days (which I also LOVE) but I do like to try different things to keep my creative juices flowing. So for this film photography session I worked with what I had. I had one roll of black and white film left and a silk dress that I knew I wanted to use. My friend Ashleigh would be the perfect model for this series because she just GETS me, my visions and always is excited to work together! Ashleigh arrived to the beach with the perfect red lip, simple pearl earrings and a glowing face. What more could I ask for?

Is it me or do you get “fragrance ad” vibes from these photos?

These photos were created with a Contax 645 film camera and ilford 3200 & fuji400h film
